Newman scores high five at Atlanta

Ryan Newman scored his fifth consecutive Atlanta Motor Speedway Bud Pole on Friday, earning the top starting spot for Sunday's Golden Corral 500.

Newman toured the 1.54-mile track in 28.476 seconds, at an average speed of 194.690 mph.

Bobby Hamilton Jr. was a suprising second at 28.609/193.785.
