Scott Riggs finished 29th in Saturday night's Chevy Rock & Roll 400 here at Richmond International Raceway. "The car just wouldn't work tonight," explained Riggs, who was behind the wheel of a specially designed Nickelback/Valvoline Chevrolet. "The team worked hard making adjustments all night, but nothing seemed to fix it. Unfortunately, we got a lap down early and were never able to bounce back. | | ALSO | |

"We kept making adjustments trying to get this Nickelback Chevy to turn, but we could never find the right combination. Finally, at the very end of the race we figured out some ways to help it out, but by that time we were two laps down and it was too late." "It was another tough day for us for sure," Riggs continued. "I'm proud of how much effort everyone is putting into this Valvoline team every single week. New Hampshire's up next-- hopefully we can go there and make some stuff happen." Next week's event at New Hampshire International Speedway will be broadcast live on TNT beginning with a pre-race show at 12:30 p.m. EDT. |
