Darrow sat for violating substance abuse policy

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR has suspended crew chief Glenn Darrow indefinitely, for violation of the sanctioning body's substance abuse policy.

Darrow, crew chief for the No. 37 Dodge that competes in the Nextel Cup Series, was tested for banned substances Oct. 1 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Test results were positive, violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-E (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2005 NASCAR rule book.
