Halifax, VA -- Ward Burton will be heading to the Virginia Motorsports Park this Friday afternoon to attend the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival. Burton will be signing autographs at the Beretta exhibit from 2:00-4:00pm.

The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation and Beretta have recently formed a partnership and Burton is looking forward to the event. "I'm very excited to be attending the Ducks Unlimited event on behalf of Beretta. Beretta is not only the industry leader in firearms and accessories but also leads in getting today's youth involved in shooting sports," stated Burton.

The Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival is a recent innovation in the United States, though the concept of such a massive sporting event has existed for centuries in Europe. At a single outdoor site, the public can experience first-hand the latest outdoor sporting merchandise, such as shotguns, fishing rods and tackles, bows and arrows, hunting gear, and much more.

The Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival is composed of numerous "sporting villages." Each village features a specific outdoor interest including shooting, fishing, archery, conservation, hunting dogs, camping, and off-road vehicles.

Both the novice and the experienced sports enthusiasts can try different outdoor sporting products under true-to-life conditions with skilled professionals to coach them through the process. Festival participants can shop for these same products in the Exhibitor Village.

A full complement of youth activities are also offered including a fishing pond, air rifle marksmanship, dog handling clinics and firearm safety training. The Festival is staged at the Virginia Motorsports Park which is located between Dinwiddie and Petersburg, VA beginning June 17th and ending June 19th.
