New York City is where NASCAR champions go to celebrate -- to pay tribute and to give thanks. For 25 years, NASCAR has crowned its champion in the Big Apple. NASCAR will again rev the engines all week long for the sports biggest celebration; the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champions Week Presented by Sprint. New York City has been home to NASCAR's champions celebration for the past 25 years. This year, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champions Week Presented by Sprint will be celebrated from Monday, November 28th - Friday, December 2nd and we plan on taking New York City by storm. NASCAR will again rev the engines and race through the city and celebrate all week-long with the Pit Stop Tour and Victory Lap programs. Monday, November 28: NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Pit Stop Tour Presented by Sprint Be sure to experience the racecars of your favorite drivers including Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart. NASCAR and Sprint invite you to see more than a dozen authentic NASCAR racecars parked at popular Manhattan locations as part of a Pit Stop Tour on November 28th through December 2nd from 7am- 7pm. Be sure to pick up your official Pit Stop Tour map card with all locations and remember, the more Pit Stop Tour locations you visit, the more NASCAR RacePoints you'll rack up toward awesome, official NASCAR licensed gear, apparel, memorabilia and more! Rockefeller Center Plaza On Wed, Nov. 30th at 9:00am, Catch the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Victory Lap Presented by Sprint and see the Top 10 drivers of the year take a Victory Lap in their racing machines through the streets of Manhattan, kicking off at Rockefeller Center Plaza. You'll see your favorite NASCAR superstars including Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and Carl Edwards take their racecars on a journey through the streets of NYC.
