New York City is where NASCAR champions go to celebrate -- to pay tribute and to give thanks. For 25 years, NASCAR has crowned its champion in the Big Apple. On Wed, Nov. 30th at 9:30am, Catch the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Victory Lap Presented by Sprint and see the Top 10 drivers of the year take a Victory Lap in their racing machines through the streets of Manhattan, kicking off at Rockefeller Center Plaza. You'll see your favorite NASCAR superstars including Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and Carl Edwards take their racecars on a journey through the streets of NYC. Victory Lap Procession Route -- distance 1.75 miles - Begin at Rockefeller Plaza - Left onto 49th Street - West on 49th Street - Left onto 7th Avenue - South on 7th Ave. to 45th St. - Bear left onto Broadway - South on Broadway to 42nd Street - Left onto 42nd Street - East on 42nd Street to Madison Ave. - Left on Madison Ave. - North on Madison Ave. to 46th Street - Right on 46th Street - East on 46th Street to Park Ave. - Turn left on Park Avenue - North on Park Ave. to 375 Park Ave. (Finish) In addition to the start and finish, NASCAR fans can get a close up view of the procession from fan viewing areas along the route Specific locations of fan viewing areas: - 49th Street: Between 6th Ave. and 7th Ave. on the south side (mid block)
- 7th Avenue: Between 46th St. and 47th St. on the west side (mid block) in front of the Times Square Alliance
- 42nd Street: Bryant Park: Between 5th and 6th Avenues on the South side (mid block of park).
- Park Avenue: Between 47th and 48th on the east side (mid block)
