Musgrave captures NCTS pole at Gateway

Ted Musgrave will start Saturday night's Dodge Ram Tough 200 from the pole after winning the top starting Saturday afternoon in qualifying at Gateway International Raceway.

Musgrave toured the 1.25-mile oval in 33.294 seconds at an average speed of 135.159 mph. That is a track record.

Jack Sprague will start second after clocking in at 33.413/134.678.

Ron Hornaday Jr., who underwent surgery earlier this week for a ruptured appendix, will start third.

Bill Lester and David Starr rounded out the top five.
