Whitt wins when Hornaday spins in final corner

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Brandon Whitt had no Craftsman Truck Series wins coming into Saturday night's O'Reily 200, while Ron Hornaday had 27.

So when Hornaday led Whitt on a green-white-checkered restart, the odds were long that Whitt would get past the veteran.

However, it was Whitt who came across the finish line first as Hornaday slowed down because of smoke from Jimmy Spencer's spin. The two trucks touched and Hornaday spun backwards in Turn 4.

The final caution, an accident involving Deborah Renshaw, set up a green-white-checkered finish.
