NASCAR memorabilia collectors often have questions about the items they've accumulated. Here are our responses to some of your most recent inquiries:

Q: I have a Racing Champions 1993 Premier Edition No. 24 Dupont Chevy, No. 32752 of 40000. Also, I have a 1998 Ford Taurus Rusty Wallace /Elvis bank from the Platinum series. Are these of value? -- GS Pack

A: The 1:64 scale Gordon car and the 1:24 scale Elvis bank are valued at $40-50.

Q: I have a W. R. Case Dale Earnhardt 7-time Champion Bowie Knife It has a deer stag handle and is displayed in a clear dome case with walnut base. My knife is No. 463 or $1000. What would this be worth? -- Scott

Please remember to be specific when describing a collectible -- manufacturer, year, etc. Limit your questions to two and check our archives before submitting an inquiry.

A: Scott, at one time, the value of that knife was up near $1000. It has leveled off some, but I still think it is probably worth $700-800 to a true collector.

Q: I have a Dale Earnhardt 6-time champion Bowie knife made by Frost Cutlery. Could you please tell me what it is worth? Or any info would be appreciated. -- Richard

A: Frost made 2000 of these knives. It carries a value of $125-150.

Q: I purchased a 1:24 scale Action Elite Kenny Irwin No. 28 car a few years ago. There were only 1,000 produced. I paid around $65 for it. Only out of the original outside wrapper one time and the black box that holds the car and the car itself are mint. Could you tell me what this might be worth? -- Jeff Handwerk

A: Action produced two Elites on Irwin in 1998 and one in '99. The value is about the same on all of them. I'd appraise on in perfect condition at $100-125.

Q: I have two programs, one is the Eighth Annual NASCAR International Program, Feb. 1957 Daytona Beach Fl, and the other is the First Annual 500 Mile International Sweepstakes and other racing events Feb. 20, 21, 22-1959, Dayotna International Speedway. Could these be of any value? They are in good condition. -- Patricia

A: If I were to pick a favorite collectible from this week's column, these would win the prize. I'm a big proponent of items like programs, record books, etc as collectibles. I'd value the 1957 program at $200-300. The 1959 Daytona 500 program should be worth $500-700. Awesome collectibles!

Q: I have an Arizona license Plate that reads BLACK 3 and Dale Earnhardt signed it. How much would that be worth? -- Hollie Sanchez

A: The true value lies in the autograph, which boosts the value up to $125-150, more to a die-hard fan.

Q: What would an autograghed complete Craftsman Truck driver's side panel signed by Carl Edwards be worth? It's from his first year with the Mittler Brothers team out of New Florence, Mo.? -- Kitterer

A: A great item here. Personally, I would put the current collectible value at $400-600. But the value will continue to rise as Edwards adds to his already impressive resume.

Q: I was wondering if you could tell me what you think would be the value of a 1995 Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats cereal box featuring Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. -- Alphonsine

A: A great box here. With the 1:64 cars of each driver included, it should be worth $40-60.

Q: I have two Dale Earnhardt die-casts autographed by Dale and Richard Childress, with a certificate of authenticity. One is his 1997 No. 3 Goodwrench Wheaties, by Action, was raced on May 17th, 1997. The second is his 1999 No. 3 GM Goodwrench service Wrangler Jeans die-cast. They are both 1:24 scale. What might be the value of them? -- Ken

A: With the certified autographs, I'd place the value of each car in the $350-500 range.

Q: I have a several complete sets of racing cards that was sold at Shoney's in 1997. A few of the drivers are Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon, and Richard Petty. There are a total of 16 cards per set. Do you have any idea how much they might be worth? Or how would I find out? -- Pat Starling

A: This is a nice little set that you seldom see anymore. They were made for Shoney's by Fleer/Ultra. The design was similar to the '97 Ultra cards, but the Shoney's logo was added. I'd place the value at around $15 per set, give or take five bucks.
