Lepage fined $10,000, placed on probation

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR announced today that Kevin Lepage, driver of the No. 56 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series, has been fined and placed on probation due to a rule violation at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug. 25.

Lepage was fined $10,000 for violating Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing: hitting another competitor's car during a caution period) of the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series Rule Book.

He was also placed on probation until Dec. 31, 2006.
