When it's your year, it's your year. Carl Edwards passed Kevin Harvick with 13 laps to go and appeared to have the car to beat. But two restarts within the final 10 laps gave Harvick more opportunities for the Busch Series champion to win another race. Edwards held the lead on the first restart with six laps to go, but the 15th caution at Memphis that set up a restart on Lap 249 one too many. Harvick, and teammate Clint Bowyer, beat Edwards off the restart on the green-white-checkered finish, and Harvick held off Bowyer to win the Sam's Town 250, his eighth victory of the season. Edwards finished third. Pole-sitter Johnny Sauter finished fourth and Shane Huffman was fifth. Juan Pablo Montoya, making his Busch Series debut, finished 11th. Stay with NASCAR.COM for updates. |
