Lap 25 -- Kurt Busch has radio problems and is forced to use hand signals to communicate with his crew.

Lap 20 -- GREEN FLAG: Greg Biffle heads the single-file train of cars into the turn.

Lap 15 -- Jimmie Johnson is the Lucky Dog and is now just one lap down.

Lap 14 -- YELLOW FLAG: Brent Sherman spins after contact with Kevin Lepage on the backstretch.

Lap 5 -- LEAD CHANGE: Greg Biffle passes Tony Stewart, as Jimmie Johnson falls two laps down because of a 1-inch gash in the tire.

Lap 3 -- Jimmie Johnson is on pit road because of contact with Reed Sorenson and has a flat tire.

Lap 1 -- Jimmie Johnson is already in trouble, falling all the way to the back of the field because the car won't turn. His car has right-front damage.

2:24 -- GREEN FLAG: Tony Stewart leads the bunched-up field as they rumble into Turns 1 and 2.

2:20 p.m. -- Cars roll onto the concrete, 36-degree banking.

2:14 p.m. -- Grand marshal Sen. George Allen: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

2:08 p.m. -- Diamond Rio harmonizes for the national anthem.

2:07 p.m. -- Invocation

2:02 p.m. -- Kevin Harvick continues his Busch-bash, saying Kurt Busch took a cheap shot at him last week at Atlanta.

1:54 p.m. -- FOX reveals their cable camera that will be sliding back and forth across the half-mile track, much like an above-the-field NFL camera. Wonder if the Talladega cam is in production?

1:50 p.m. -- FOX interviews Jimmie Johnson about the return of his crew chief, Chad Knaus, after a four-race suspension. "I'm sure Chad did a lot of reflecting while he was at home," Johnson said.

1:44 p.m. -- Was that Tony Stewart with a Mark Martin winter cap on? (If you're from the South, it's a toboggan.)

1:34 p.m. -- An interview with Kurt Busch results in him filling the void of Rusty Wallace by saying "hot rod" right off the bat.

1:30 p.m. -- FOX's coverage of the Food City 500 is on the air, appropriately billing Bristol Motor Speedway as the modern-day version of Rome's Coliseum.

12:40 p.m. -- It's a cool 40 degrees in Bristol, Tenn., with cloudy skies. Snow flakes fell early this morning, but the sun is expected to peek out during the day. The green flag is scheduled to drop at 2:10 p.m. ET.
