RICHMOND, Va. -- David Reutimann will meet in Miami with officials from Burger King on Tuesday in what he hopes is the final step for moving into the Nextel Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing next season. | | | David Reutimann is third in the Truck Series standings. Credit: NASCAR |

Reutimann already has met with officials from Domino's Pizza, which will split sponsorship on Waltrip's new Toyota team in 2007. An announcement could come by the end of next week. "The meeting with Domino's went well and I'm hoping the meeting at Burger King goes well," said Reutimann, at Richmond International Raceway for Friday's Busch Series race. "Then it's up to them to make a decision." Reutimann said the tentative plan is for him to drive a full Busch and Cup Series schedule. "Provided everything works out," he said. "I guess it depends on who becomes available between now and then. I feel like I have a good shot at being in there." |
