When Mark Martin says he loves, loves, loves a racetrack, he means it. He said that Wednesday night at Bristol, then went on to win the O'Reilly 200 at the high-banked half-mile. |

Martin, who started from the pole, gave up the lead to make his only pit stop on Lap 30. It dropped him to 14th in the congested field, as half of the trucks stayed out and chose to pit later. Martin's decision, however, proved to be the paying one. By the time pit strategy cycled through, Martin was back up front just past the halfway point and dominated the rest of the night, including one final restart with just three laps remaining. After a spin with 10 laps to go, Martin restarted with points leader Todd Bodine on his tail. But just like the previous 100 laps with Martin out front, nobody could come close to his No. 6 Ford as he cruised to his fourth victory of the season in just eight races. Bodine held on to finish second and keep his hold on the points lead. Ted Musgrave was third, followed by Johnny Benson and David Starr. Stay with NASCAR.COM for more. |
