7:18 p.m. -- Jeff Gordon joins Jeff Hammond and Chris Myers in some chicken tasting.

7:14 p.m. -- Invocation.

7 p.m. -- FOX is on the air, and despite the potential rain, the festivities have begun with the one-of-a-kind driver introductions.

6:46 p.m. -- Rain, rain, rain. It's beginning to come down at Lowe's Motor Speedway, as darkness has fallen on the track several hours earlier than scheduled.

6:27 p.m. -- One hour until race time, and the skies are looking gloomy. Rumors of rain are running wild, almost as wild as the Open's on-track forecast.

4:58 p.m. -- It's less than two hours until sprint time, and warm weather is blanketing Lowe's Motor Speedway. Word is, none of the Open drivers will be forced to go to the back for changes.
