Pit Caps lead new '07 NASCAR apparel

Apologies to Andy Rooney, but did you ever wonder what is the most popular form or NASCAR memorabilia?

"Caps are our biggest sellers by far," says Myers, who, along with her husband, Derek, operates one of the Motorsports Authentics trackside trailers that sells Dale Earnhardt Jr. merchandise. "Die-cast and tee shirts are really popular too, but caps are the number one seller at most trailers."

The good news is, you don't have to wait until NASCAR visits your favorite track to buy the latest caps. The new 2007 line of Pit Caps is available for order now.

The NASCAR.COM Superstore has caps featuring more than two dozen of your favorite drivers and teams. Each cap is decorated in the team colors with primary sponsor logos embroidered on the crown, and driver and team graphics embroidered on the side panels. They are made of highest-quality cotton, and one size fits all.

Schedule tees still hot

Checkered Flag Sports has created a new line of tees showcasing all original artwork as the backdrop of the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup schedule. Nearly a dozen different schedule shirts are now on sale in the NASCAR.COM Superstore.

In addition to several styles of non driver-specific garments, schedule tees are offered featuring Roush Racing, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne. There is also a shirt celebrating Toyota's premier season in Nextel Cup.
