NASCAR memorabilia collectors often have questions about the items they've accumulated. Here are our responses to some of your most recent inquiries:
Q: I have a 1995 Winston Cup Series Champion Jeff Gordon Coca-Cola die-cast (1:64 scale) manufactured by Action Performance Companies, Inc. still in the packaging. Could you tell me how much this car is worth? -- Nathan
A: A pretty decent collectible value-wise. This car tops out at around $25.
Q: Some years back I had bought several 10 card packs of 1988 MAXX cards. I put together a complete set from 1-100 and was wandering about the value of this set. They are mint except the Bobby Allison and Dale Jarrett that I got autographed from them. Those two are mint except for the autograph. -- Larry Davis

A: This is what is known as a hand-collated set, meaning they were not bought as a complete factory set. A hand-collated Charlotte set is worth $75-100. A hand-collated Myrtle Beach set is probably worth around $200-250. In a case like this, I don't think the autographs would have any bearing on the collectible value.
Q: Can you please tell me the value of a Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) 1995 Champion 1:24 scale Die Cast Bank with an opening hood? It is unopened and has a serial number on the back of the box. It is manufactured by Racing Champions and I assume conforms to the official standards of NASCAR. The NASCAR label is also on the box. -- Choozylady
A: A great die-cast here. Some of the early Racing Champions Gordon and Earnhardt pieces can be pretty valuable. This bank is worth around $75, give or take $5-10.
Q: My dad came across a Dale Earnhardt card. It is shiny on the front and says the select 25. on the back it is No. 1 of 25 and in the bottom right corner it says 1994 J. R. Maxx, Inc the card tells about his 1993 career. If you could would you let us know if this card is worth anything? -- Amanda and her Dad
A: This chromium card in mint condition is worth $3-5.
Q: I have been collecting Dale Jr. Budweiser stuff for the last couple of years. Now that he has changed cars and sponsors should I keep the stuff or should I sell it? -- Adam
A: That is purely a matter of personal choice. If you're a big Junior fan, it would be nice to have a collection of items that span his career from start to finish. And I seriously doubt that his truly collectible Bud stuff -- particularly die-cast -- will lose much value, if any at all.
Q: I have the 1990 MAXX set of 200 cards. The back of the cards in the 1990 set have a yellow background with a grey box where the stats are shown. The MAXX logo is white with black writing. Any help you can give me in figuring out what this set is worth would be greatly appreciated. -- KJ
A: These cards were produced in such massive quantities that the value for a 200-card set has been held down to around $25-30.
Q: I have a 1970 Season NASCAR Magazine & Auto Race Program with four photos on front cover: three of the four photos are autographed by Bobby Allison, Bobby Isaac, and James Hylton. The fourth photo of Richard Petty is not autographed. Is this a collectible, if so, the value? -- JC
A: Oh yes, this is a great collectible. Years ago, NASCAR used this type of program for some of its smaller races that didn't have individual programs of their own. While Hylton and Allison signatures are fairly common, Bobby Isaac autographs are very rare. I'd place the value of this program at $75-100. See if you can get it signed by Petty. That'll boost the value even higher.
Q: I have all four of the Dale Earnhardt Wheaties boxes. They still have the cereal in them. Are they worth anything? -- Dwanna Prather
A: Yep, each is worth $35-50.
Q: I have a 1993 Goodwrench racing diesel bank made by Racing Champions. It has first production under the trailer and cab and the cab is a Kenworth. I still have the key and It's in good condition except the passenger side mirror is off. How much is it worth? -- Wesley Sargent
A: The missing mirror hurts the value, but it is still worth $40-60.
Q: I have all the Days of Thunder cars that Hardee's gave away, in their original packages, is there any worth? -- Mark
A: This is a great collection to own. I'm really surprised the values haven't gone up more, but I often see these sets sold for $35 or less. Still, I'd place the collectible value in the $30-45 range.
