As the Chase for the Nextel Cup ends, another "chase" -- the one to find the perfect Christmas gift for your favorite race fans -- is just gearing up.

Keep an eye peeled toward the NASCAR.com Collectibles section over the next few weeks as we spotlight a few of the neat items you'll find in our Superstore. This is just a fraction of the merchandise on hand. You'll find hundreds of great gifts in the NASCAR.com SuperStore.

Motorsports Authentics 2008 Dale Earnhardt Jr. die-cast

If you don't have at least one Dale Jr. fan on your shopping list, you must not know many people! Give that person the most coveted of all new Earnhardt collectibles -- a Motorsports Authentics replica of No. 88 Chevrolet Impala SS that Junior will pilot in 2008. Scale reproductions of both the National Guard and Mountain Dew/Amp paint schemes are available, so give the gift that'll be appreciated for years to come.

NASCAR Winning Wheels book

Publications International has created a completely interactive book geared toward the younger race fan. NASCAR Winning Wheels allows youngsters to build five NASCAR racers with all parts included. Just punch out the vehicle, fold it up, and snap it into the chassis. The board book consists of 16 pages in four colors, complete with three replaceable long-life AG-13 button cell batteries, instructions on how to assemble the cars and fun NASCAR facts.

Velocity driver shaving kit

More shaving kits are given at Christmas than any other time of year. But few can compare to the class and craftsmanship of the driver-specific shaving kit produced by Wilson's Leather. This handsome travel kit is crafted in fine leather and decorated in the driver's colors with his number and replica signature embroidered on the front. A plastic-lined main pocket, zip-around lower compartment and sturdy carrying handle make it as functional as it is attractive.

JEBCO computer skins

Though best known for its immaculate line of collector clocks, JEBCO has diversified its product line to include driver-themed computer skins. These durable high-impact vinyl covers are available for both laptops and CPU towers. Each boasts bold graphics featuring the driver, his car, signature and number.

SportCoins driver medallions

SportCoins has built a portfolio boasting more than 50 different driver-themed medallions. A variety of designs are available. Made from bronze or brass, some medallions feature the driver's name, team, sponsor, car number and replica signature. Another variation includes the driver's likeness and stats, while others commemorate specific accomplishments. These things are just plain cool!

Raceiver scanners

The Tru Scan scanner from Raceceiver is the perfect Christmas present for the NASCAR enthusiast who wants to stay on top of the action on the track and in the pits. And unlike many bigger, bulkier scanner, the Tru Scan unit takes up very little space. The world's smallest race scanner weighs only 3.5 ounces and allows storage of up to 12 driver frequencies by car number. The scanner operates for up to 36 hours using only 1 AA battery. Other features include six-button operation and a dual 3.5 mm audio port.
