NASCAR memorabilia collectors often have questions about the items they've accumulated. Here are our responses to some of your most recent inquiries:

Q: I am trying to determine the value of a set of three Earnhardt medallions, one of Dale Sr. which says "Finally First!" on one side and shows him winning the 40th annual Daytona 500. The second coin shows Dale Jr. driving the No.3 Busch car in Texas on one side and and has the No. 3 on the other. The third coin has Jr. and Sr. on one side and both No. 3 cars and says "Rising Son!" on the other.

All three coins have their respective autographs embossed on the back side, they are set in a nice display case in black foam which says the Legacy of Champions with a numbered certificate of authenticity {00730} which says they are one troy pound silver proofs designed by Sam Bass {1999} and presented by Motorsport Editions. I have been unable to locate any info at all on their value. Can you please help? -- Gary

A: This is a nice set. Oddly, the value of this type of coin dwindled for a couple of years, then started to climb dramatically again in the past year. I'd place the current value of this set in the $450-600 range.

Q: I have a Richard Petty One Troy Pound Seven-time Champion Silver Proof coin. What is it worth? -- Ben

A: The value of this single coin should be in the $150-200 range.

Q: I have a friend who has a Bill Elliott NASCAR card that has an obvious misprint on it. The card came in a pack of other cards and is in new, mint condition. The description of the card is as follows: Upper Deck, Inside Track, Road to the Cup. It says 1997 The Upper Deck Company, LLC on the back of the card at the bottom. The back of the card's top left has a "96" and the right side says "3 Elliott." The front shows him sitting in the car and it says "Bill Elliott, Corpus Christi, TX." As we all know, Bill Elliott is from Dawsonville, GA, not Texas. Can you advise a value of this card and a market in which it could be sold? --Sheila

A: Error cards have never caught on among NASCAR collectors, so the error hurts the value rather than adding to it.. This card would only have a value of a dollar or so, unless you find someone who has a thing for error cards.

Q: I have 15 racing cards from the 1992 Maxwell House Pro Set. Drivers include Davey Allison, Ernie Irvan, Richard Petty, and Junior Johnson. Are they of any collectable value? -- Charlene Soles

A: There were actually two sets of these Maxwell House collectibles with 15 driver cards and a cover card in each set. The value for each set is $15-20.

Q: I have a Dale Earnhardt Daytona 500 40th annual Feb 15,1998 limited edition (353 of 15,000) Jebco clock in its original box. I am wondering what is its value? Also, can you tell me the value of a Dale Earnhardt Jr. AC DELCO Superman Monte Carlo (1 of 15,000) 1;24 scale car from 1999? -- Andrews6508

A: The Jebco clock is a really nice piece. It is worth $125-175. The Earnhardt Jr. car is a $75-100 collectible.

Q: I have a die-cast of the No. 14 car from 1999. Who drove it? -- Jill

A: That was probably the Racing Champions car that was actually a 2000 model. The sonsor was Conseco, and Mike Bliss was the driver of the car owned by A. J. Foyt.

Q: I have a Racing Champions, NASCAR 2000, NASCAR Rules! ! 1:64 scale replica of the No. 22 Cat Dealers car driven by Ward Burton . It is also a Chase Car, #043 of 999 limited edition. I would appreciate any information pertaining to its value. -- Richard

A: Richard, that's a good car in terms of collectibility. It is worth around $25, give or take a few bucks.

Q: I am trying to find out the value of three knives: Frost Cutlery Dale Earnhardt 7-Time Winston Cup Champion, Frost Cutlery Dale Earnhardt 6-Time Winston Cup Champion, Case Dale Earnhardt 1986-1987 Winston Cup Champion knife. -- Carla Davis

A: The case knife is probably worth $150-200 on today's market. You didn't specify which style the Frost knives were, but the values could run from $75-150, depending on the style.

Q: I have a 1996 Wheels Viper Green Mamba Dale Earnhardt card No. R3 but is also hand-numbered 487/500 and has ''Bonus'' written above the R3. What is the value of this card? -- Kevin

A: Good card here, Kevin. In my opinion, it appraises for around $50.

Q: I have a complete unopened 1989 of MAXX racing cards deluxe. I believe there are 300 cards, not sure they have never been opened I am wondering if you could tell me what the value of this set would be. --Robin

A: There were four different variations to this set. The value lies in the $100-125 range.

Q: I have the whole 1992 TRAKS Dale Earnhardt Team Set. How much do you think they are worth? -- Amy

A: You'd think these cards would carry more value than they actually do. This 25-card set is worth $10-15.
