10 Questions: S. Huffman

1. What's the best advice you ever received and who was it from?

Shane Huffman: Since I've been here, it's probably come from Dale Earnhardt Jr. You know, just to take things as they come a little more and quit trying to make things happen some. Just be a little bit more patient throughout the race and pick and choose my times. Probably that.

2. Who has made the most impact on your life?

Huffman: Definitely my uncle. He was a huge part of my success, getting me started in racing, as far as when I moved up to cars in 1994. He's been with me every step of the way until I got here.

3. What's your favorite vacation spot?

Huffman: Anywhere warm with water and cold drinks.

4. Which athlete outside of racing do you most admire?

Huffman: I don't know if it counts, but I was a huge Dan Marino fan and I still am. Now I guess, kind of Peyton Manning or Brett Favre.

5. What was your first job?

Huffman: Actually, I went to work at a local diner, washing dishes just to save up enough money to start racing go-karts.

6. What do you feel is your biggest strength?

Huffman: I feel like I'm a pretty smart racecar driver and pretty aggressive, when I need to be.

7. If you could take someone to eat in your hometown of Hickory, N.C., where would you go and what would you order?

Huffman: I'd have to go to the Angus Steak House Restaurant there and probably have a hamburger steak.

8. If you could trade places with somebody, who would it be?

Huffman: I'd probably trade places with ol' Peyton Manning for a day or so, just because he's an incredible quarterback and he's got a lot of talent and he's good at what he does.

9. What's the last song you added to your personal music player?

Huffman: Probably that new Brad Paisley song, I'd Like To Check You For Ticks.

10. What's your favorite TV show?

Huffman: Right now, I've been watching American Idol a bit.
