On Saturday night, 12 drivers will secure an opportunity for a brighter future -- although most of them have already done so. Richmond, site of Saturday night's race, traditionally celebrates its past. And rightfully so.

Richmond has been home to wars and writers, presidents and poets. It's home to beautiful scenery and was at one time a Confederacy capital during the country's ugliest war.

But it's a history Virginians don't sweep under the rug. They honor their forefathers with pride. And with museums.
