After a two-week hiatus, the Truck Series returns to action Friday with the American Commercial Lines 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway (8:30 p.m. ET, SPEED) and two drivers will celebrate a momentous milestone.
Three-time Truck Series champion Jack Sprague and Rick Crawford will both run their 250th race in the Craftsman Truck Series.
Sprague began his Truck Series career at Phoenix in 1995 and finished fifth in points in his first season. Along the way he would go on to win 28 races including the '07 season opener at Daytona. His 28 wins puts him one shy of the all time wins mark in the Truck Series held by Ron Hornaday. Sprague has three series championships, claiming the title in '97, '99 and 2001. Sprague has never finished outside the top 10 in points when running a full Truck Series schedule.
Crawford started his Truck Series career in Orlando back in 1997 and he finished 12th in points his rookie year. Crawford won his first race in 1998 at Homestead and has won five Truck Series races in his career. His best season came in 2002, when he was runner up to Truck Series champion Mike Bliss.
Only two other drivers have made more than 200 starts in the 13 seasons of the Truck Series, Terry Cook with 242 and Dennis Setzer with 219.
