The Craftsman Truck Series is celebrating a birthday on Friday in the AAA Insurance 200 at Dover International Speedway (8 p.m. ET -- tape delay, SPEED). This will be the 300th race in Truck Series history and believe it or not, only one individual can claim he was a part of every single one of them.

Chris Showalter, truck chief for Kraig Kinser's No. 47 Morgan-Dollar Motorsports Chevrolet is the only person -- driver, crew member, or official -- to participate in all 300 races.

"I figured in five years I'd be in the Nextel Cup Series," Showalter said. "But I found out I love it here. People treat you good and I've had a lot of fun."

In his 12-plus years in the sport, Showalter has worked with five different teams and as crew chief for Travis Kvapil in 2003, Showalter brought home the Truck Series championship.
