Michigan is Mark Martin's type of racetrack.

He dominates nearly every statistical category in the Busch Series, a series for which he has become the king in his own right. He has two victories at the 2-mile track in Brooklyn, Mich., coming in 1993 and 1995.

Michigan is also Kevin Harvick's type of racetrack.

He has dominated the Busch Series lately, celebrating five victories this season in which he considered as a "part-time" venture. That second job has him sitting third in points despite having skipped seven races. He's got one victory at Michigan, coming in 2003.

They'll both bring their hot hand to Michigan this week with one thing in common: They'll both be in Chevrolets.

Harvick will be in his traditional No. 21 RCR bow tie, while Martin will make his second start of the season in Hendrick Motorsports' No. 5. In his other start for the organization this season, he finished second at Darlington.

Why does the distinction matter? Chevrolets have won 10 of 15 races at Michigan, just a drive down the road from the auto capital of the United States.
