Welcome to Round 3.
Just when all the talk is focused on Carl Edwards, David Reutimann goes out and wins his first career Busch Series race.
The chips fell right for Reutimann last week at Memphis to delay Edwards' championship once again: Edwards wrecked twice, Reutimann led the most laps, then he won the race.
But the delay may have only pushed back the inevitable for a second consecutive week. Now it's on to Texas for Saturday's O'Reilly Challenge (3 p.m. ET, ESPN2). Reutimann has only raced at Texas three times in his career, getting better each time: He was 24th in 2003; he was 14th in 2006; and he finished sixth in the April race this season. That's the good.
Now here's the bad for Reutimann: Edwards' average finish at Texas is 12.0. Furthermore, that average is drastically skewed.
