Viewer's Guide: Dover

NASCAR kicks off the first weekend in June with all three national series at Dover International Speedway.

The Truck Series has all three practices on Thursday but none of them are televised. The first Truck Series event on TV is qualifying which is on SPEED at 10:30 a.m. ET on Friday morning. SPEED also broadcasts the Truck Series race but it will be on a tape-delay beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday night.

Friday is a busy day at Dover, with Busch Series practices and a Nextel Cup Series practice and qualifying.

The Busch Series final practice will be on ESPN2 beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Nextel Cup practice is on SPEED before that at noon ET and Nextel Cup Bud Pole Qualifying is at 3 p.m. ET, also on SPEED.

Saturday the Nextel Cup holds two practices, both on SPEED. The first one starts at 10 a.m. ET and final practice is at 1 p.m. ET. Busch Series qualifying is on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. ET and the Dover 200 begins at 2:30 p.m. with pre-race coverage on ESPN2. The green flag is scheduled to drop at 3:15 p.m. ET.

FOX will broadcast it's final race of 2007 on Sunday with the Autism Speaks 400 presented by Visa. Pre-race festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. with the green flag scheduled to drop at 1:45 p.m. ET.

This week's featured drivers on DirecTV NASCAR HotPass are: Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, J.J. Yeley, Greg Biffle and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

FOX's coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 was down 11.8 percent from 2006, according to Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Daily. The race earned a 4.5 Nielsen rating with an 10 market share compared to 2006, when the race earned a 5.1 rating and an 11 market share.

The Coca-Cola 600 did outdraw more viewers than the Indianapolis 500, which saw a drop of 15.7 percent, from a 5.1 rating to a 4.3 with coverage of the rain-shortened race on ABC.
