You are bound to see a couple of things you have never seen before this NASCAR weekend beginning Friday with a shave long overdue and ending Sunday with race analysis from a direct perspective on the racetrack.

First and foremost tune in at 6 p.m. ET Friday for Trackside on SPEED when NASCAR's most popular beard goes the way of the blade, or blades as the case may be.

SPEED shave

Tom Giacchi, motor-coach driver for Carl Edwards, will shave for the first time since Nov. 6, 2005 when he takes the stage at 6 p.m. ET Friday for "Trackside" on SPEED.

Giacchi, playfully known as "The Yeti," gained popularity around the motor sports community, including sporting his own Web site (www.tomgiachhi.com) and fan club, when he committed to growing his facial hair until Edwards scored his next victory.

Edwards went 52 races between victories, before winning last weekend in Michigan.

On Sunday, Kyle Petty will pull double-duty of sorts when he steps out of the broadcast booth and back into the cockpit of his No. 45 Dodge. The NASCAR on TNT Summer Series heats up when Petty joins Bill Weber and Wally Dallenbach for race commentary as a competitor in the Toyota/Save Mart 350.

There's plenty of action in between those two events including Busch and Truck racing from The Milwaukee Mile.

SPEED has all the action on a busy Friday beginning at 2 p.m. ET with a Craftsman Truck Series practice. The first Nextel Cup Series practice from Infineon Raceway is at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Bud Pole Qualifying for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 begins at 7 p.m. ET and will be followed at 8:30 p.m. ET with NCTS Setup previewing the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200, scheduled to begin shortly after 9 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, SPEED will air the first of two Cup practices at 1 p.m. ET on a tape-delayed basis. Happy Hour will air live at 3 p.m. ET.

SPEED also will have Busch Pole Qualifying for the AT&T 250 beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. Race coverage on ESPN2 begins at 8 p.m. ET with NASCAR Countdown. Both the Deuce and ESPN Deportes will broadcast the race live. The green flag is scheduled to wave shortly after 8:30 p.m. ET.

On Sunday, TNT begins its coverage of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 with NASCAR on TNT Live! at 3:30 p.m. ET. At 4:30 p.m. ET, it's TNT Countdown to Green with pre-race pomp and circumstance. The green flag is set to fly at 5:20 p.m. ET. (Continued)
