A week after setting a television first with its Wide Open Coverage for the Pepsi 400, NASCAR on TNT returns for its final race of the season this Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.

The NASCAR on TNT Summer Series concludes its six-race schedule with coverage of the USG Sheetrock 400, beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR on TNT Live! The Allstate Countdown to Green airs at 3:30 p.m. ET as the lead in to the start of the race. The green flag is set to wave at 4:16 p.m. ET.

TNT's debut of Wide Open Coverage, a unique television format that featured no national commercial interruptions, took the checkered flag by beating all programming on broadcast and cable for the night, ranking as television's No. 1 program in Saturday primetime among adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

TNT's Wide Open Coverage featured only three local commercial breaks per hour and an innovative on-screen video box for sponsor branded content,. The Pepsi 400 also ranked as ad-supported cable's No. 1 program for the week among adults 18-49 (3,030,000) and adults 25-54 (3,457,000). It was also second for the week behind the TNT original The Closer among viewers (6,162,000) and households (4,242,000). For the week among all of television, TNT's Saturday night Nextel Cup coverage was a top-10 program among adults 25-54 and men 18-49 and a top-five program among men 25-54.

"Turner Sports is known for its innovation and we are happy that our new Wide Open NASCAR television format seems to have resonated with both fans and advertisers alike," said David Levy, president of Turner Sports.

TNT, which along with former broadcast partner NBC, won an Emmy for its 2006 NASCAR coverage.

Prior to TNT's coverage, SPEED is the place for all pre-race track activities including three practice sessions and Bud Pole Qualifying.

This week's featured drivers are DirecTV NASCAR HotPass are Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Jamie McMurray and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

SPEED also will broadcast the Craftsman Truck Series race from Kentucky Speedway. NCTS Setup starts at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday and leads up to the Built Ford Tough 250, slated to begin shortly after 8 p.m. ET.

ESPN2 and ABC will colaborate on Saturday's Busch Series coverage. ESPN2 will air final practice and Busch Pole Qualifying. ABC has race coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR Countdown. Green flag for the USG Durock 300 is set to wave at 3:16 p.m. ET. ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes will show the race on a tape-delay basis.
