A pair of Fords paced the final Nextel Cup testing session of Jackson Hewitt Preseason Thunder at Daytona on Thursday morning. Ricky Rudd set the day's mark at 186.405 mph. Jamie McMurray followed right behind with a 185.410. The Thursday session was allowed after rain washed out Monday afternoon's second testing session. Kevin Harvick led the Chevy class at 185.143, good enough for third with Scott Riggs' Dodge at 185.067 fourth on the day. As for the Toyotas, Dave Blaney again had the fastest at 183.453 -- ninth-best among the day's 25 cars. Brian Vickers turned in the 12th-fastest lap in his backup car at 183.355 but his primary car was dead last, barely cracking the 180 mph mark. Thursday's session concluded Cup testing for the week. The Craftsman Truck Series will test Friday-Sunday. The Cup cars return to the track Jan. 15-17.
