DENVER, Colo. -- Furniture Row Companies, owner and sponsor of the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet, will be utilizing a unique marketing strategy with a hood wrap that will debut at Darlington Raceway.

The hood will showcase their driver, Kenny Wallace in front of an American flag.

The hood art was developed as a key component in a multi-tiered campaign effort to encourage fans to vote Wallace into the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge event on May 19 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

In addition, the No. 78 hood will also feature the campaign slogan "Vote for Kenny," and a Web site address that links fans to the NASCAR.COM registration page for the contest. After registering, fans may scroll down and select Wallace as the driver they would like to see voted into the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge.

Furniture Row Racing's general manager, Joe Garone, cuts to the chase when explaining the rationale behind Furniture Row's decision to utilize the "Vote for Kenny" hood of the car in the campaign.

"Whatever it takes to make the All-Star race," Garone states.

The NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge event showcases race winners from the previous and current Cup Series seasons, plus the winner and runner-up of the Nextel All-Star Challenge Open; a preliminary event for teams not qualified for the All-Star Challenge event, and another Nextel Open driver who wins the Nextel Fan Vote.

Wallace has been overwhelmingly appreciative of the support from Furniture Row, the media, SPEED, and the fans.

"The 'Vote for Kenny' campaign has grown its own legs and developed into a huge deal," said Wallace. "I am very appreciative to Furniture Row for being such a supportive sponsor by getting behind the 'Vote For Kenny' campaign. I don't think that many other sponsors, if any at all, would give up the hood of their racecar for a weekend to promote voting their driver into the All-Star Challenge. Being voted into this race would be a huge deal, not just for me, but for my Furniture Row Racing team too!"

Voting is open until thirty minutes into the NASCAR All-Star Challenge Open event on May 19th. The winner will be announced shortly before the green flag is waved for the All-Star Challenge race.
