Where's Juan? Michigan

Juan Montoya is coming off a rain-shortened visit to Pocono Raceway's 2.5-mile track, where his team played the fuel-mileage game right and walked away with a 20th-place finish.

Overall it wasn't a bad day after Montoya started in 38th. He was one of the final cars to stop as he was running third just before halfway and just before rain halted the race. After his stop and the shuffling of the running order, Montoya was pleased with the outcome.

"Well, from starting 38th and it only being half a race we made a lot of progress," Montoya said. "I think we could have finished a lot higher than this.

"Our racecar was getting very good, actually. All three Ganassi cars were pretty good. And strategy and everything, a lot of guys played it off and it played for them. I was just a little bit unlucky."

Now the focus is on Michigan's 2-mile oval, often considered a sister track to California, where Montoya started ninth and finished 26th.
