While much of the attention this weekend is focused on Bristol Motor Speedway and the long-awaited debut of the Car of Tomorrow, the attention of the Official NASCAR Members Club is revolving around a new twist to the club's Local Headquarters Program.
That new twist is an opportunity for NASCAR fans to both locate and join a Local Headquarters Chapter and to be able to listen to their favorite NASCAR drivers and personalities in an interactive chat session.

Imagine being able to roll up to your favorite local hangout and hear the rapid-fire, always entertaining Kenny Wallace talk about issues of the day in NASCAR. Pretty cool, right? Wallace is the latest in a string of NASCAR legends to take a turn on the ONMC's grassroots private channel, joining his brother Rusty, Bill Elliott, Bobby Labonte, Bobby Allison and David Pearson.
Future guests include Kurt Busch and two-time champion Tony Stewart.
For NASCAR fans who aren't able, on a weekly basis, to hear their heroes in person, this is the next best thing. Questions from individual locations are asked directly to the guest, which in turn builds excitement at those individual locations.
For example, Tomahawks Steakhouse and Saloon in St. Albans, W.Va., drew more than 600 fans to the latest event with NASCAR legend David Pearson. Similar crowds have been reported at several other locations, so it's a grassroots gas where NASCAR fans are concerned.
