CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NASCAR's first nationally-syndicated television show, NASCAR Angels, is hitting the road for a second season of helping deserving people in need of a transportation fix. The first episode of the second season is scheduled to air nationwide this weekend (check local listings).

Former Cup Series champion Rusty Wallace and co-host Shannon Wiseman of NASCAR.COM are back to lead the NASCAR Angels as they hit the road each week with new stories to tell and lives to change.

The NASCAR Angels have hit the road with a simple mission: to help people and to fix broken cars. Join hosts Rusty Wallace and Shannon Wiseman as NASCAR gives a helping hand.

In cities across the country, people struggle every day to get to work, take the kids to school or make it to a doctor's appointment because they cannot keep the family car moving. The transportation so many of us simply take for granted becomes a huge hurdle for these folks. NASCAR has the resources and desire to help and NASCAR Angels is the vehicle that does just that.

Reaching 85 percent of the nation's viewing audience, NASCAR Angels can be seen on weekends on more than 200 local television stations, including top ABC-owned stations in New York and Los Angeles. In its first year, 45 million total viewers tuned in to see stories of families touched by the NASCAR Angels.

To kick off the second season, Rusty Wallace made a special guest appearance on LIVE with Regis and Kelly on Sept. 20 to promote the show.

"The second season of Angels is going to be one exciting show to watch," Wallace said. "We're traveling to brand new locations this year on the NASCAR race circuit and performing major car repairs for some really, really neat people. Beyond car repairs, we really are changing these folks' lives with the help of NASCAR sponsors."

NASCAR Angels is shot on location in major race markets and features top NASCAR drivers and crew chiefs giving deserving families the chance to go behind-the-scenes to meet their heroes, and get an up-close-and-personal glimpse into the NASCAR experience.

Goodyear Gemini, a national repair service provider, is the presenting sponsor of the show. Back in the shop, with the help of Goodyear Gemini Technicians and the automotive products of NASCAR Performance partners, NASCAR Angels work under a deadline to complete each repair before the race begins that weekend. The show educates viewers on the importance of regular vehicle maintenance.

"NASCAR Angels was created as a way to help people and drive awareness of the importance of taking care of your car for safety, dependability and savings," said Odis Lloyd, managing director of NASCAR's automotive licensing division. "The TV show highlights some very deserving people and every aspect of the car care chain: service, technicians and the parts that make the cars go."

Season two will feature 22 all-new episodes (and 30 repeats) as the NASCAR Angels travel to the sites of NASCAR races in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Daytona Beach (Fla.), Miami, Indianapolis, Michigan, Phoenix, New Hampshire, Las Vegas and Charlotte (N.C.).

NASCAR Angels is produced in partnership by NASCAR and MagicDust Television and is distributed nationally by Litton Entertainment.
