DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Roush Fenway Racing announced that K&N Engineering will be the primary sponsor for Travis Kvapil's No. 6 Ford F-150 in Friday night's Craftsman Truck Series season debut at Daytona International Speedway.
"K&N is a terrific company with great products," Kvapil said. "It's awesome to have a company of their caliber come on board with us to kickoff the season. Our goal for the 2007 season is a championship, and I can't think of a better way to start that effort than by taking K&N to Victory Lane on Friday night."
"We're thrilled to team up with Travis Kvapil and Roush Fenway Racing," said Charles Maier, sports marketing director of K&N Engineering. "K&N Engineering is building new relationships with NASCAR and NASCAR racing teams. We have just begun a new contingency program with NASCAR and our goal is to use this new program to continue building marketing campaigns in motorsports.
"Roush Racing, now Roush Fenway Racing, has been in the business of winning races for many years. We are pleased to be associated with Roush Fenway Racing at Daytona and look forward to an ongoing business relationship with the new joint venture."
Kvapil has started 96 Truck Series races, completing 97 percent (or 16,077 laps) of all the laps run between 2001 and 2004. He has started a truck at 28 racetracks, leading at all but six of those for a total of 450 laps led in four years. Friday night's race marks his debut with Roush Fenway Racing.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for Kvapil and the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford during the remaining 24 Truck Series races.
