Lap 19 -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne gets the race back under way.

Lap 17 -- Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon come into the pits for tires, fuel and adjustments, fall to the back of the pack. Ryan Newman and Johnny Sauter also hit pit road for tires, fuel and adjustments.

Lap 15 -- YELLOW FLAG #2: Martin Truex Jr. blows his engine.

Lap 13 -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne brings the field back to speed.

Lap 10 -- Reed Sorenson takes his car to the garage, along with Scott Riggs and Jamie McMurray.

Lap 9 -- Almost everyone hits pit road, with the top-nine cars staying out. Most taking four tires and making adjustments. Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin and Kyle Busch were among those taking just two tires and topping off with fuel

Lap 8 -- YELLOW FLAG #1: Scott Riggs gets loose in Turn 2, hits the wall collecting Jamie McMurray and Reed Sorenson.

Lap 1 -- Kasey Kahne leads the first lap, Gordon falls to third.

3:47 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: The Auto Club 500 is under way as Jeff Gordon brings the field up to speed.

3:41 p.m. -- Cars are rolling off pit road

3:35 p.m. -- Grand marshal Kevin Costner revs the crowd up and then delivers the command, "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

3:28 p.m. -- Brian McKnight performs the National Anthem

3:27 p.m. -- Invocation

3:13 p.m. -- Sammy Hagar performs I Can't Drive 55 for the Fontana crowd.

3 p.m. -- Coverage of the Auto Club 500 is under way on FOX. It's 52 degrees at the track under mostly cloudy skies.
