Lap 62 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson gets around Mark Martin on the inside to take the lead once again.

Lap 58 -- LEAD CHANGE: Mark Martin cruises back around Elliott Sadler for the lead. Meanwhile, Jimmie Johnson has worked his way up to third and is closing on the two leaders.

Lap 51 -- LEAD CHANGE: Elliott Sadler goes to the outside of Mark Martin and takes the lead with ease.

Lap 45 -- GREEN FLAG: Mark Martin leads the field to green.

Lap 42 -- Matt Kenseth stays out to lead a lap before coming to pit road for his stop.

Lap 41 -- Nearly everyone hits pit road for fuel:
• Jimmie Johnson gets four tires and is out in 13.3 seconds
• Jeff Gordon is battling a loose car and gets four tires
• Kyle Busch gets adjustments for a loose racecar, and gets four tires

Lap 40 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Aric Almirola goes spinning down the frontstretch after getting loose coming off Turn 4. He hit the wall near the finish line for damage on the right-front.

Lap 36 -- Kyle Busch has worked his way from 11th to second since the restart and is posting the fastest lap times on the track. He trails leader Jimmie Johnson by 2.391 seconds.

Lap 23 -- GREEN FLAG: Jimmie Johnson gets the race back under way. The top eight cars did not pit.

Lap 21 -- The leaders hit pit road:
• Jeff Burton has a quick stop with fuel only
• Elliott Sadler is off second with right-side tires
• Kasey Kahne gets an adjustment and tires
• Kurt Busch is the first off pit road and will restart eighth

Lap 17 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Joe Nemechek makes contact with Clint Bowyer and backs into the wall. Dave Blaney goes nose-first into the wall trying to slow down to avoid the spin. Nemechek drives away, but Blaney's car stops on the straightaway.

Lap 14 -- LEAD CHANGE: Elliott Sadler catches Kasey Kahne and passes him on the outside to take the point.

Lap 13 -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne stays out and leads the field to green.

Lap 10 -- Pit stops begin for fuel:
• Juan Montoya leads a group down pit road, but Montoya gets blocked in his stall by Tony Raines
• Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes fuel only, as do most of the teams
• The top 15 cars aside from Juan Montoya stay out

Lap 9 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Robby Gordon gets loose in Turn 1, and sends Ward Burton and Casey Mears into the fence. Gordon drives away, while Mears and Burton have major damage and head to the garage.

Lap 6 -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne gets the race going again.

Lap 3 -- Dale Jarrett leads a group of six cars who make pit stops while David Ragan heads to the garage to work on the damage from his spin.

Lap 2 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: David Ragan goes for a spin in Turn 2 after getting high in the groove and suffers minor damage to his right-rear. No other cars involved.

Lap 1 -- Kasey Kahne leads the first lap after pulling away from the group.

4:48 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne and David Stremme get the UAW-DaimlerChrysler under way.

4:42 p.m. -- Cars are rolling onto the newly paved and reconfigured track.

4:31 p.m. -- Sierra Boggess sings the national anthem.

4:30 p.m. -- The Las Vegas Motor Speedway chaplain delivers the invocation.

4 p.m. -- FOX's pre-race coverage is under way from Las Vegas.

3:30 p.m. -- It's just less than an hour before the green flag drops on the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The sun is out and it's 70 degrees in the desert.
