Lap 98 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kurt Busch re-takes the lead from Matt Kenseth.

Lap 97 -- LEAD CHANGE: Matt Kenseth takes the lead from Kurt Busch.

Lap 91 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kurt Busch takes the lead when Brian Vickers hits pit road.

Lap 89 -- LEAD CHANGE: Brian Vickers takes over the lead and gets five bonus points when Kevin Harvick hits pit road to take four tires and fuel.

Lap 88 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kevin Harvick takes the lead when Jimmie Johnson comes in for his pit stop. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Burton both make pit stops. Small adjustments, fuel and four tires.

Lap 85 -- Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart make their pit stops. Both make small adjustments and take four tires and fuel.

Lap 84 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes his green flag stop. Earnhardt says he's tight so the crew will loosen his car up, he takes four tires and fuel. Mark Martin makes a small track bar adjustment.

Lap 83 -- Robby Gordon and Kasey Kahne make their green flag pit stops.

Lap 82 -- Kurt Busch hits pit road beginning green flag stops. A small track bar adjustment, four tires and he's back on the track.

Lap 79 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson catches Tony Stewart and takes the lead. Ryan Newman is in the pits.

Lap 70 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. falls to eighth after being passed by Matt Kenseth and Reed Sorenson. Tony Stewart with more than a two second lead on Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 54 -- Tony Stewart starting to pull away from the field. He has a two second lead on second-place Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 43 -- LEAD CHANGE: Tony Stewart takes the lead from Jeff Gordon

• Jimmie Johnson doesn't change anything and takes four tires
• Kurt Busch track bar and air adjustment, takes four tires

Lap 36 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Debris on the track.

Lap 23 -- Kyle Busch falls to 43rd and a lap down after a loose wheel forces him to pit.

Lap 22 -- Jimmie Johnson has a three and a half second lead ahead of Jeff Gordon.

Lap 19 -- Kyle Busch makes an unscheduled pit stop. There is a vibration feel on the car.

Lap 8 -- The three Hendrick cars are distancing themselves from the field. There is a second and a half differential between third-place Kyle Busch and fourth-place Elliott Sadler.

Lap 1 -- Hendrick Motorsports takes the first three spots early, Jimmie Johnson leads followed by Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch

2:26 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: With Ryan Newman moving to the rear of the field, Jimmie Johnson brings the field to the green.

2:21 p.m. -- The cars are rolling off pit road.

2:16 p.m. -- Larry Stone, the president and COO of Lowe's delivers the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

2:14 p.m. -- Polesitter Ryan Newman and Brian Vickers move to the back of the field for engine changes, Jeff Green changed his transmission and moved to the rear of the field as well.

2:11 p.m. -- Country star Darryl Worley performs the National Anthem.

2:10 p.m. -- Atlanta Motor Speedway chaplain delivers the invocation.

1:30 p.m. -- FOX's broadcast of the Kobalt Tools 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway has begun.

12:45 p.m. -- We are under two hours away from the dropping of the green flag in Atlanta. The sun is shining bright but it's a chilly 43 degrees.
