• Matt Kenseth came out second and had a stop of 13.7 seconds
• Jimmie Johnson had a stop of 13.6 seconds and came out third

Lap 309 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Debris in turn three. Jeff Gordon gets the free pass.

Lap 305 -- Fuel is a major concern for many drivers. Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson are just two that could run out before the checkered flag flies.

Lap 297 -- Jimmie Johnson catches Matt Kenseth and takes over the second position. Tony Stewart has a 1.7 second lead on Johnson.

Lap 292 -- The battle on the racetrack is for third between Jimmie Johnson and Juan Montoya. Jeff Burton is making his move, he is up to fifth.

Lap 285 -- Tony Stewart has stretched his lead to a second ahead of Matt Kenseth. 18 cars are on the lead lap, Jeff Gordon is the first car one lap down. Greg Biffle is back on the track after his Lap 230 crash.

Lap 271 -- All the leaders hit pit road
• Tony Stewart has some paper on the grill, they make adjustments, take four tires and fill it up with gas

• Carl Edwards has a slow stop and falls to 12th
• Matt Kenseth has a great pit stop and comes out second

Lap 270 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Debris on the racetrack. Kevin Harvick will get the free pass.

Lap 263 -- Matt Kenseth is back in the top five after passing Clint Bowyer for fifth.

Lap 261 -- Kevin Harvick is down a cylinder in his engine with 64 laps to go. Tony Stewart leads by .8 seconds on Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 249 -- Kasey Kahne is back on the track after his Lap 230 crash.

Lap 245 -- Juan Montoya passes Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards to take over the third position. Tony Stewart with a .3 second lead on Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 238 -- LEAD CHANGE: Tony Stewart takes the lead from Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 235 -- Ryan Newman penalized for speeding on pit road and will serve a pass-through penalty.

Lap 234 -- Kevin Harvick in the pits making some adjustments. Jeff Gordon also on pit road, fixing the right front which puts him a lap down.

Lap 230 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: David Reutimann clips Greg Biffle in Turn 1, pushing Biffle into Brian Vickers. The crash also collects Kasey Kahne. Brian Vickers, Greg Biffle and Kasey Kahne are in the garage, David Reutimann was able to make repairs and rejoin the field.

Lap 227 -- GREEN FLAG: Jimmie Johnson brings the field back to speed.

• Jimmie Johnson says his car is loose, the team makes minor adjustments and is out in 14.5 seconds
• Tony Stewart says his car is free, they makes adjustments and he's out in 14.7 seconds
• Dale Earnhardt Jr. says he is losing some handling, they makes adjustments
• Jeff Gordon with another long stop at 57.9 seconds, he will restart 19th
• Kurt Busch was caught speeding on pit road and will serve a pass-through penalty

Lap 222 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3 : Scott Riggs' engine blew.

Lap 217 -- Scott Riggs has dropped a cylinder and is falling off the pace.

Lap 208 -- Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. battle for third with Stewart eventually taking the spot.

Lap 198 -- Dale Jarrett caught speeding on pit road, serves his pass-through punishment and is caught again speeding on pit road forcing him to serve the penalty for a second time.

Lap 195 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson inherits the lead when Juan Montoya pits. David Reutimann, J.J. Yeley and Ken Schrader also hit pit road.

Lap 194 -- LEAD CHANGE: Juan Montoya takes the lead when Tony Stewart pits. Stewart changes four tires and takes fuel. Matt Kenseth also on pit road.

Lap 193 -- LEAD CHANGE: Leader Jeff Gordon hits pit road giving the lead to Tony Stewart. Gordon has a problem on the right front, they couldn't get the tire on the car giving Gordon a long pit stop. Kurt Busch also pits.

Lap 192 -- Jimmie Johnson gives up second and comes in for a green flag pit stop. He makes minor adjustments, takes four tires and fuel and is out in 13.6 seconds.

Lap 191, Kevin Harvick, Mike Bliss, Scott Riggs and Jamie McMurray all make their green flag pit stops.

Lap 190 -- Elliott Sadler, Ricky Rudd, Martin Truex Jr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. all hit pit road. Earnhardt Jr.'s car is tight but the driver is happy with it. Junior takes four tires and fuel and gets out in 13.7 seconds.

Lap 182 -- 43 cars still on the track, 22 of them on the lead lap.

• Tony Stewart has trouble on pit road. A lugnut fell off forcing him to drop from fifth to 15th.

Lap 137 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson re-takes the lead when Brian Vickers comes into the pits.

Lap 135 -- LEAD CHANGE: Brian Vickers takes the lead for the second time when Dave Blaney heads to pit road.

Lap 134 -- LEAD CHANGE: Dave Blaney takes the lead and gets five bonus points when Reed Sorenson hits pit road.

Lap 133 -- LEAD CHANGE: Reed Sorenson takes the lead when Jimmie Johnson hit pit road. Jeff Burton on pit road, says he's loose in the corners so they make a small adjustment.

Lap 132 -- The top three cars all come in. Jimmie Johnson has a 12.7-second pit stop. Tony Stewart made a small adjustment and took four tires, Jeff Gordon also took four tires.

Lap 131 -- Matt Kenseth comes in for his green flag pit stop, takes four tires and makes a small adjustment. Kyle Petty, David Stremme and David Gilliland also come in.

Lap 130 -- Ricky Rudd and Elliott Sadler hit pit road. Jeff Gordon passes Tony Stewart to take second place.

Lap 121 -- Jimmie Johnson has more than a four second lead ahead of second-place Tony Stewart. All 43 cars remain on the track with 23 on the lead lap.

Lap 107 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson passes Kurt Busch coming off of Turn 4 to retake the lead.

Lap 84 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes his green flag stop. Earnhardt says he's tight so the crew will loosen his car up, he takes four tires and fuel. Mark Martin makes a small track bar adjustment.

Lap 83 -- Robby Gordon and Kasey Kahne make their green flag pit stops.

Lap 82 -- Kurt Busch hits pit road beginning green flag stops. A small track bar adjustment, four tires and he's back on the track.

Lap 79 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jimmie Johnson catches Tony Stewart and takes the lead. Ryan Newman is in the pits.

Lap 70 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. falls to eighth after being passed by Matt Kenseth and Reed Sorenson. Tony Stewart with more than a two second lead on Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 54 -- Tony Stewart starting to pull away from the field. He has a two second lead on second-place Jimmie Johnson.

2:11 p.m. -- Country star Darryl Worley performs the National Anthem.

2:10 p.m. -- Atlanta Motor Speedway chaplain delivers the invocation.

1:30 p.m. -- FOX's broadcast of the Kobalt Tools 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway has begun.
