Lap 286 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jeff Gordon becomes the leader. He was on pit road when the yellow came out, but because he has the first pit stall and was able to stay on the lead lap when the caution came out, he inherited the lead once the lead-lap cars made their stops under yellow.

Lap 285 -- Leaders are on pit road:
• Tony Stewart is out with four tires in 13.6 seconds
• Matt Kenseth gets four tires and fuel in 13.7 seconds

Lap 283 -- YELLOW FLAG: Dave Blaney gets spun around in Turn 4 when trying to get onto pit road. Carl Edwards sent him spinning, and J.J. Yeley gets caught up in the crash.

Lap 283 -- Jeff Gordon is in for his pit stop.

Lap 282 -- Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer and Kurt Busch are in for stops.

Lap 279 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. are in for green-flag pit stops before everyone, a short-pit strategy.

Lap 277 -- Tony Stewart continues to lead with a 1.247-second advantage ahead of Jeff Gordon.

Lap 262 -- Matt Kenseth has moved into third place, passing Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 260 -- Penske teammates Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman are running fifth and sixth, respectively.

Lap 237 -- Denny Hamlin has worked his way back up to 10th after a pit-road speeding penalty dropped him from the lead to 31st.
