Lap 9 -- Kurt Busch, Casey Mears, Joe Nemechek and Elliott Sadler are all on pit road. Four tires for both Busch and Mears plus some adjustments. Kurt Busch is now a lap down due to problems changing the left-front tire.
Lap 5 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1 -- Casey Mears goes around when Johnny Sauter drifts up and clips his left rear. Mears doesn't hit anything. Kurt Busch also spins. Robby Gordon who is already two laps down, gets the free pass and one of those laps back.
Lap 4 -- Robby Gordon is on pit road. He took some fuel before the competition caution came out on Lap 40 which is against the rules and he will be penalized.
Lap 1 -- Jeff Gordon gets a good start and leads Lap 1 collecting five bonus points. Scott Riggs takes second from Carl Edwards.
1:16 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Gordon brings the field to green in Richmond.
1:12 p.m. -- The cars are on the track.
1:09 p.m. -- Grand Marshal Jim Stewart for the second time in two days delivers the command, "Gentlemen, start your engines."
1:06 p.m. -- It was just announced on FOX that on Lap 40 there will be a competition caution for teams to make adjustments.
1:02 p.m. -- Richmond native April Lee sings the National Anthem.
1:01 p.m. -- Invocation delivered at the track.
1:00 p.m. -- FOX's pre race coverage is under way.
12:30 p.m. -- We are about 45 minutes away from the green flag flying at Richmond. The weather is absolutely beautiful compared to yesterday. Blue skies and 59 degrees.

8:46 p.m. -- POSTPONED! The race has been postponed until Sunday. Race coverage begins at 1 p.m. ET on FOX. Since just 12 laps were run under yellow, those will be erased and they will start over tomorrow.
Lap 13 -- RED FLAG: After 13 laps of caution, the cars are now on pit road as rain as started to fall. Car covers are going on the cars now.
Lap 12 -- Still under caution as the cars dry the track.
Lap 9 -- The race looked like it was going to begin on Lap 8 but they called off the green and it is still under caution.

7:48 p.m. -- GREEN/YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: The track is still wet so the race is under way, but it begins under yellow. Polesitter Jeff Gordon is the leader.
