Lap 14 -- Jeff Gordon makes his second pit stop to get four tires.

Lap 14 -- Sterling Marlin is off the pace and reports he has blown his motor.

Lap 13 -- Juan Montoya has worked his way from his 32nd starting position to 20th. Like some others, he is running a short gear where he does not use fourth gear.

Lap 10 -- Tony Stewart hits pit road early for a stop, beginning the wide-range of pit strategy on the road course. He was running ninth at the time and comes out 39th.

Lap 8 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. looks to the inside of Robby Gordon through the esses and continues to challenge for the lead. J.J. Yeley makes a pit stop.

Lap 5 -- GREEN FLAG: Robby Gordon gets the race back under way.

Lap 4 -- Some drivers hit pit road:
Matt Kenseth and Kyle Petty are on pit road to make repairs to the car

• Denny Hamlin makes his first stop of the day

Lap 2 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Marc Goossens has stopped in Turn 11 after the contact with Kyle Petty and Matt Kenseth.

Lap 1 -- Matt Kenseth, Kyle Petty and Marc Goossens tangle in the 11th paperclip corner. Petty has some damage.

Lap 1 -- Robby Gordon leads the first lap, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jamie McMurray.

Lap 1 -- Tony Stewart slides off the track in the first turns and loses a significant amount of track position as they go three-wide into the esses.

5:22 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Jamie McMurray and Robby Gordon get the race going, heading up the hill to the first set of turns.

5:12 p.m. -- Cars are rolling onto the track.

5:08 p.m. -- Jerry Rice and Mike Wells deliver the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

5:01 p.m. -- Emmy Rossum sings the national anthem.

5 p.m. -- Invocation by Tina Coleman.

3:30 p.m. -- TNT is on the air with its pre-race coverage.
