The annual NASCAR Sprint All Star Race has been an enduring part of the NASCAR experience since 1985. It's a go-for-broke, show-me-the-money, run-what-you-brung-and-hope-you-brung-enough showdown that has produced some of the most memorable finishes in motor racing history.

For more than two decades, renowned motorsports artist Garry Hill has captured the electricity of the May Classic in an ongoing collection of artwork, aptly entitled the "All Star Series." Prior to each year's event, he unveils an original painting honoring the most recent winner, with each illustration being made available to the public as a limited edition fine art print.

The unveiling of Hill's latest masterpiece -- "2007 NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge" -- was televised on SPEED's NASCAR Live on May 16. Commissioned by Nextel/Sprint, this riveting artwork catches Kevin Harvick and the No. 29 Richard Childress Racing/Pennzoil Platinum Chevrolet flashing under the checkered flag at the conclusion of last year's All Star speed fest.

"It's an extreme honor and privilege to have be the official artist for NASCAR's all-star race for 21 years, " said Hill, one of a select few artists officially licensed by NASCAR. "And, I think the latest work is one of my best. I really thank Sprint for their continued sponsorship and involvement with this very special print series capturing the history of one of NASCAR's most prestigious events."

A total of 500 limited edition prints and 50 artist proof prints were produced. Each has been hand-signed by Harvick and signed and numbered by Hill. Those prints are now available at the NASCAR.com Superstore.

Hill launched the "All Star Series" in 1987 with the first signed and numbered NASCAR print ever released. In addition to his collection of commemorative All Star paintings, Hill has gained worldwide notoriety for his "Great Moments In Racing" series, which chronicles some of the most pivotal events in NASCAR history. The artist is perhaps best known for his print entitled "The Pass in The Grass," which showcased Dale Earnhardt's daring move to the inside of Bill Elliott in the 1987 running of The Winston. That artwork was the initial release in the Great Moments in Racing Series, and is one of the most recognizable racing prints of all time.
