All-Star Race

SPEED will again broadcast the Sprint Showdown and All-Star Race. Tune in at 7 p.m. ET on May 17 to watch rivals race for $1 million -- and the fireworks!

The band comes to the 1.5-mile superspeedway in advance of the group's new self-titled album release on May 20. It's Not My Time, the first single from the album, already has reached the top of the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

3 Doors Down was formed in 1996 in Escatawpa, Miss. The band is fronted on vocals by Brad Arnold and features guitarists Matt Roberts and Chris Henderson, Todd Harrell on bass guitar and Greg Upchurch on drums.

Bursting onto the mainstream music scene in early 2000, 3 Doors Down's debut album The Better Life, contained the Billboard chart-topping single Kryptonite, which earned the group a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song.

In November 2002, the group released its second studio album, Away From the Sun, featuring the hit-single When I'm Gone, that topped the Billboard chart for 17 weeks and propelled the group to two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Vocal Performance by Duo or Group.

3 Doors Down toured for much of 2003 and 2004 in support of Away From the Sun, and issued the live album Another 700 Miles in November of 2003 as a holdover between studio efforts.

The group returned with its third studio album, Seventeen Days, in early 2005. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went platinum in its first week. As a result of the group's 2005 success, 3 Doors Down was nominated for an American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group.
