It's safe to say the first third of the Nationwide schedule belonged to Joe Gibbs Racing. In 13 races, the team amassed eight wins and 11 top-five finishes amongst its two cars -- an almost perfect mark.
In the last seven races, the team has six wins and a second-place finish with all three drivers -- Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch -- winning at least once. Busch was victorious last week as well, but ironically ended the JGR win streak as he piloted the No. 32 Braun Racing Toyota to Victory Lane in Charlotte.
The series heads north to Dover International Speedway for the Heluva Good! 200 (2:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2) and if JGR's streak of consecutive top-two finishes comes to an end, it could happen this week and it could come at the hands of Richard Childress Racing.
Scott Wimmer will drive the No. 29 Chevy for RCR and Clint Bowyer will be back in his No. 2 Chevy and both drivers have a proven track record at The Monster Mile.
Wimmer earned his first Nationwide Series win at the track back in 2002, and went on to win three of the next seven races after earning that victory. Dover is one of Wimmer's strongest tracks on the Nationwide circuit, with nine of his 10 finishes inside the top 15.
As for Wimmer's teammate, Bowyer also has a victory at the 1-mile concrete track, and his worst finish is a 19th in his first race at the track in 2005.

Wimmer hasn't raced in the Nationwide Series since Richmond three races ago, and he's champing at the bit to get back behind the wheel and turn some laps.
"I'm looking forward to getting back in the Holiday Inn Chevy," Wimmer said. "Dover is a special place for me because I got my first Nationwide Series win there. Hopefully, we can go up there and run strong. We have had some really good finishes the past few weeks and I'm hoping to keep that up."
The No. 29 Chevy is currently third in owner points in the Nationwide Series, thanks to strong seasons from both Wimmer and Jeff Burton. In fact, Wimmer has only run in six of the first 13 races, but it's been one of the strongest six-race stretches in his career.

Dover is the third concrete track for the Nationwide guys this season, and Wimmer, who used to be known as "Mr. Concrete," has kept to his nickname. He was on the pole at Bristol, and earned his first win in five years at Nashville.
"I have had a lot of success on concrete, whether it is Bristol, Nashville or Dover," Wimmer said. "I feel very comfortable on concrete tracks and we notched a win at Nashville earlier this year. I had a really good run at Bristol, too. Things change from year to year but the team has put together an excellent package and I'm looking forward to running well this weekend."
As for points leader Bowyer, another win at The Monster Mile would push him that much closer to his first Nationwide Series championship. Plus, according to Bowyer, to win at Dover takes more than just good equipment -- it's in the driver's hands and winning that way is much more enjoyable.
"Dover is one of those tracks where you want to win," Bowyer said. "At some of these mile-and-a-half tracks, you're only as good as the equipment and you really don't have much of a say so. At places like Bristol, Dover, Daytona and Talladega, you have to make things happen. If the car isn't handing, you can pick up your end of the deal and make something happen.
"I like Dover. It's fast, it's racy, a good track for us and I can't wait to get there."
