Top-10s at Milwaukee for Erik Darnell, who is coming off his first win in more than a year and just his second career victory. Darnell started seventh and finished sixth last year at The Mile. In three starts, however, his average starting position and finish are the same: 19.7.
Wins at Milwaukee for Johnny Benson Jr. and Ted Musgrave, the only drivers with more than one victory there. Benson has led the most laps in the past two races (143) but didn't lead the most laps in either race; incidentally, those two years are the only times in which Musgrave, a winner in 2001 and '04, has failed to post a top-five in seven starts.
Place of finish last year for Todd Bodine, his first top-10 in three starts at Milwaukee. His 19.0 average finish is his worst at any current track. Bodine has a 3.7 average starting position, however, twice qualifying for the outside of the front row including last year.
Top-10s at Milwaukee for Matt Crafton, his only lead-lap finishes in seven starts there. Three of the top-10s including last year were ninth-place finishes, representing his best, with each coming in the No. 88 Chevrolet of ThorSport Racing.
Races won from the pole at Milwaukee: Mike Skinner (1995), Greg Biffle (1999), Kurt Busch (2000), Terry Cook (2002), Ted Musgrave (2004). Of the 13 races at The Mile, 12 have been won from a top-five starting position. Jack Sprague, who holds the track record with four poles, started eighth in 1996.
Top-10s at Milwaukee for Rick Crawford, five of which have come in the past five races. Crawford is one of only four drivers -- Terry Cook, Jack Sprague, Dennis Setzer -- with more than 10 starts at The Mile, but is the only one of the group without a win there. He has three top-fives with a best of third place (twice). He finished fifth last year.
Worst finish for Ron Hornaday in eight starts at Milwaukee, in 1999. Hornaday has seven top-fives including each of the past three years for Kevin Harvick Inc. His lone win at The Mile came in 1997 in the then-No. 16 Chevrolet of Dale Earnhardt Inc.
Average place of finish for Mike Bliss in eight starts at Milwaukee. He has one win, four top-fives and six top-10s and has led 130 laps at The Mile. Bliss will fill-in this week in the No. 51 Toyota of Billy Ballew Motorsports, which sits second in owner points.
Top-10s at Milwaukee for Jack Sprague, most of any driver. In 11 starts, Sprague has one win and seven top-10s for a 7.4 average finish. He's led 505 laps, more than twice of any other driver. He finished 11th last year, and for just the third time failed to lead a lap.
Average place of finish for Mike Wallace in four starts at Milwaukee. He has three top-10s and last raced at The Mile in the Truck Series in 2000, when he finished 22nd. Wallace will serve as spotter for his daughter, Chrissy, who is making her second series start. Chrissy Wallace finished 18th earlier this year at Martinsville.
