0 -- Number of laps Kyle Busch led in Cup road course race before Sunday. On Sunday he led 69.6% percent of the laps run.
No. 48 Chevrolet: Jimmie Johnson lost the draft and went a lap down early. Once Johnson got the lap back he hit David Reutimann's blown tire breaking a splitter brace on Lap 55. Busch led 78 of the 112 laps and pulled away during a green-white-checkered-flag finish to win Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. Busch, the series points leader, picked up his first win on a road course, his fifth victory of the season and the ninth of his career. He also increased his lead in the Cup standings to 103 on second-place Jeff Burton. David Gilliand finished second and Jeff Gordon came home third after emerging unscathed from a melee involving Jamie McMurray, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick on Lap 105 of the scheduled 110-lap race.

Kasey Kahne, a driver who's never had a top-10 finish in a Sprint Cup race on a road course, will have a leg up on breaking that drought, having claimed the pole for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. The pole was Kahne's second this year and the 16th of his Cup career.

All it took to end Carl Edwards' year-long Nationwide Series winless streak was to change crew chiefs. The defending series champion had gone 36 races without a victory, so Roush Fenway Racing swapped crew chiefs earlier this week, with Drew Blickensderfer taking over for Pierre Kuettel on Edwards' No. 60 team. Edwards responded by winning Saturday at The Milwaukee Mile.

Brad Keselowski took advantage of the Cup guys being in Milwaukee as he won his first Nationwide Series pole with a speed of 121.198. Mike Bliss was second, just .003 seconds off of Keselowski's pace. David Reutimann was the only Cup driver to make it to the track in time for qualifying and without any practice, qualified his car fifth.

Bill Marx of Sporting News Wire Service weighs in with his top 10:
| Pos. | Driver | Need to know ... |
|---|---|---|
| 1. | Kyle Busch | King Kyle commits to one race and wins it. Coincidence? He says no. Either way, he bounced back in a big way after finishes of 43rd and 13th. |
| 2. | Carl Edwards | Runs top-10 streak to seven. |
| 3. | Matt Kenseth | Remember when Kenseth was 204 points out of 12th? No more. He is now 12th after his sixth consecutive top-10. |
| 4. | Dale Earnhardt Jr. | All Junior wanted was a decent finish at Infineon and the first flight out of town. Don't know about his travel plans, but his 12th was decent enough. |
| 5. | Kasey Kahne | Last time Kahne finished in the 30s, he won the next week. |
| 6. | Jimmie Johnson | Those darn caution flags. |
| 7. | Jeff Burton | Just when you think his top-15 streak is going to end, Burton comes though again. |
| 8. | Tony Stewart | When Stewart gets snippy, the wins usually aren't far behind. |
| 9. | Brian Vickers | No top-five this week, but he still climbs a spot in the standings to 16th. He is 105 points out of 12th. |
| 10. | David Gilliland | Nice job Sunday. And it was refreshing to see a non-winner that enthusiastic after the race. |
