Ron Hornaday lost the points lead last week, but a look at the numbers suggests he could regain the top spot after Friday's Power Stroke Diesel 200 (7:30 p.m. ET, SPEED) at O'Reilly Raceway Park.

ORP at Indianapolis is a .686-mile short track and a good venue for Hornaday, one of three two-time winners there. Hornaday has amassed 18 of his 36 career victories on short tracks, both Craftsman Truck Series records. Beginning with last year's victory at ORP, Hornaday is the only driver to win twice in the past six short-track races, having won earlier this year at Memphis. ORP is the fourth of six short tracks on the series slate in 2008, with Bristol and a return trip to Martinsville still to come.

Hornaday is third in the standings but trails leader Johnny Benson by just five points. Matt Crafton is second, one point off the pace.

1Laps led by Chad Chaffin in winning the 2004 race at ORP, the second victory at the track for the No. 18 Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge (Joe Ruttman won from the pole in 2000). Johnny Sauter led a race-high 139 laps and finished second; Hamilton finished third in his No. 4 Dodge, one of his three top-fives in five career starts at ORP. Chaffin's victory is his only top-10 in four starts at ORP and one of two wins in his career.
2Times Mike Skinner won from start to finish at ORP. Skinner won the first two races at the track, both from the pole, and never trailed. He led all 150 laps in 1995 and every one of the expanded 200 laps in 1996. Skinner has led a track-best 371 laps, all but 21 -- which he led last year also starting from the pole -- coming in those two races, which represent his only top-10s in eight starts.
3Place of finish for Jimmy Hensley in the 1997 race at ORP. Hensley started from the pole and led the first 200 laps. But in a green-white-checkered finish that extended the race two laps, Hensley was passed by Ron Hornaday for the win. Jack Sprague also slipped by to finish ahead of Hensley.
4Consecutive top-10s at ORP for Rick Crawford including a victory in 2006 that is his most recent series win to date. Crawford had only one top-10 in his previous seven starts there, but only twice in 11 career races has he finished outside the top 15.
5Races at ORP won from the pole, more than any other starting position. All 13 races have been won from a top-five starting position -- three from the second spot, three from the third position and two from the fifth spot.
6Previous winners at ORP currently in the top 10 in points: 3. Ron Hornaday (1997, 2007); 4. Rick Crawford (2006); 5. Mike Skinner (1995, 1996); 7. Terry Cook (2002); 9. Jack Sprague (1998, 2001); 10. Dennis Setzer (2005). Points-leader Johnny Benson has finished second twice at ORP including last year. Second-place Matt Crafton's best finish there is fourth in 2005, one of five top-10s he has in seven starts.
7Starts at ORP for Ted Musgrave, who has but two top-10 finishes there. ORP is one of only two current tracks at which he has failed to post a top-five finish (Mansfield) or lead a lap (Atlanta). His 14.9 average finish is his fourth-worst at any track. However, his 1,391 laps are the fifth-most he has completed anywhere.
8Top-10s at ORP for Dennis Setzer, most of any driver. Setzer has never finished worse than 13th, which he has done twice including last year. Setzer has finished eighth three times in 11 starts and has an 8.1 average finish. He has one win and two top-fives.
9Different winners at ORP in the past nine races there, beginning with Greg Biffle's victory in 1999, which ties it with four other tracks for the second-longest current streak. Ron Hornaday and Jack Sprague are the only drivers in the current streak with previous victories at ORP.
10Combined top-fives at ORP for Ron Hornaday and Travis Kvapil, each with five that ties them for the track lead. Hornaday also has three finishes of 19th or worse among his eight starts there. Kvapil has never finished outside the top five at ORP with a runner-up finish during his championship year of 2003. Kvapil has raced at ORP just once since 2004 -- finishing third last year -- and is not entered in this week's race.
