MOORESVILLE, N.C -- Braun Racing has announced the addition of James Buescher to its driver lineup of the No. 32 Toyota Camry. The Plano, Texas native joins Brian Vickers, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch, who all share driving duties in the No. 32 in the Nationwide Series.

Buescher will make his first start at Phoenix International Raceway on April 11th. It will be his first race in one of NASCAR's top three divisions.

Buescher, who just recently turned 18, focused his efforts on competing in both the Hooters Pro Cup Series and the ARCA/Remax Series and quickly made a name for himself during the 2007 season. In seven ARCA/Remax starts, Buescher finished in the top 10 six times and became the youngest winner in series history when he won his first ARCA event held at Lakeland Speedway. Buescher started in the top 10 five times, including starting on the outside pole twice.

In Hooters Pro Cup (USAR) competition for Turner Motorsports, Buescher finished 10th in the final series point standings. He captured two top-five and four top-10 finishes during the 2007 season. Planning to run another full time USAR season, Buescher came out of the gate strong in the series' first event of the year. He started 16th and finished third at Lakeland Speedway, marking his third consecutive third-place finish in that series.

Buescher began his racing career in 2002 at age 12 racing Bandaleros. He won the Bandalero Young Guns national championship in 2004, the Legends Young Lions national championship in 2005 and the ASA Late Model Southern Division championship and rookie of the year title in 2006.

Buescher is looking forward to switching gears and making his NASCAR debut. He has never raced at Phoenix but is ready for the challenges of adjusting to a new car, a new track, and a new team.

"I'm really excited about this opportunity with Braun Racing," Buescher said. "This is what you work for as a driver and I feel very fortunate to have this chance with such a great organization. There is no doubt that Braun Racing has some of the best equipment in the garage area and I'm planning on keeping this No. 32 just as competitive as it always is. I tested with this team at Ace Speedway so I have worked with them a little already. I'm going to Texas with them, as well, and by Phoenix we will have a good working relationship to build on."

Buescher also will pilot the No. 32 Braun Racing Camry at Kentucky Speedway, the Milwaukee Mile, Gateway International Raceway, O'Reilly Raceway Park and Memphis Motorsports Park. He also will keep busy in 2008 running in the ARCA/Remax Series, the USAR Series and the NASCAR Camping World East Series.
