Villeneuve to drive for Braun at Montreal race

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Braun Racing on Thursday announced that former Formula One world champion Jacques Villeneuve will drive its No. 32 Toyota in the second annual Nationwide Series event at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal on Aug. 2.

The 2.709-mile road course is named after his father, Gilles Villeneuve, a legendary Formula 1 racer.

The race will mark Villeneuve's first Nationwide Series start at the track which carries his namesake.

Villeneuve has two Nationwide Series starts this year. He finished 21st at Talladega and 41st at Phoenix, driving for Bill Davis Racing.
