Mooresville, N.C. -- Old School Racing will take fans back in time when they kick off their inaugural Old School Racing Tour this May. That is when the fans will be able to see their favorite drivers and the paint schemes they made famous.

Some drivers who made NASCAR history are hitting the track in the new Old School Racing Tour -- a 10-race season throughout 2008.
Harry Gant will pilot the No. 33 that he made famous. Along with the green and white paint scheme made famous by Gant, fans will also see David Pearson's familiar red and white scheme; the gold and black scheme made famous by Davey Allison and many others that will bring back memories of the good 'ole days of racing.
"I drove the No. 33 for 14 years and the No. 7 for about half that time," Gant said. "I choose the No. 33 because that is what the fans recognize me in."
Having car numbers and paint schemes that fans can identify is just another step in making the series as fan friendly as possible. Old School Racing will also incorporate on-track autograph sessions and "Old School Racing" memorabilia for fans to enjoy.
"Harry [Gant] came to us and said he would like to drive the number that he is most associated with," said managing partner Norm Weaver. "Well we decided to take that one step further and let the driver race the numbers they have made famous and do our best to outfit them in the paints schemes they made famous.
"We can't wait to see these guys back in the cars again and here the announcer saying things like, 'Gant is on the inside of Pearson and along the outside comes Bodine making it three wide...' can you imagine?" Weaver added.
Old School Racing's inaugural race is at Concord Speedway on May 18. The entire race schedule can be found here
